My expectations for junior year.

In my junior year, I expect to have a lot of fun. I will try my best to enjoy and make the most of it, seeing as I only have two years left of High School. But I will do it while I keep up with my schoolwork. I have to maintain my grades high because this is a very important year, and I also have to start thinking about my future. I hope being juniors is as I expect it to be.

En la clase de computadora he aprendido muchas cosas importantes y útiles con respecto a las computadoras. Algunas de estas son:

-¿Qué fue lo que más y menos te gustó de la clase? 

 Lo mas que me gustó de la clase fue que fue una muy dinámica, entretenida y que podíamos trabajar relajadamente cogiendo aire y escuchando música. No puedo pensar en algo que no me haya gustado de la clase de computadora. 

-¿Qué mejorarías de la clase? 

Honestamente, no le cambiaría nada a la clase. 

-Escribe cualquier comentario que te gustaría que yo como maestra supiera. 

Me gustaría dejarle saber que me gustó mucho su clase y disfrute de tenerla como maestra. Espero que nos vuelva a dar clase y debe saber que es excelente maestra. :)    

My motivation <3

Every one has a person they look up to. Someone who they can rely on and know that with them by their side, they can do even the impossible. For me, that person is my mom. Without her, I wouldn't even exist. She is the one that has made me who I am, not only physically, but emotionally. I owe everything to her. She taught me all my values and urged me to be a good human being. She believed in me even when I didn't. She has been there for me every single moment of my life, and throughout all those years all she's wanted is the best for me. She has been through so much and she has never backed down. In my eyes she is so strong. She is the best example to follow. Without her, I would have never made it this far. She is my hero and my motivation.

Food.

Food is one of the greatest pleasures of life. We all love food! Some food is so good that it can easily become an addiction. Food is what gives us the energy to do all the things we need to do to survive. Not only we eat when we're hungry, but also when we're bored, stressed, happy, celebrating, etc. Nowadays food doesn't only mean hunger. On our culture, we relate food with celebration. On every party, reunion, celebration... there has always got to be food. We pass family recipes from generation to generation as a gift to the new generations and for them to keep the family traditions. I can say that my favorite dish is my mom's lasagna. She's been making lasagna for us since I can remember. And before her, my grandma was the one to cook it. The lasagna my mom makes is not exactly a family recipe just yet, but I plan on teaching my kids to cook it so it can stay in the family.

Chelimortle

If I had the power to create a new kind of animal, I would combine the turtle, monkey, lion and cheetah.
It would have the abilities and intelligence of monkeys, the perseverance of turtles, the strength of lions and the speed of Cheetahs. The body wound be of a monkey, with the fur of lions, the shell of turtles and the muscles of Cheetahs. I choose these qualities for the species because they are some qualities that I admire and I thought it would be cool to have them combined. Also, they would make the animal kind of invincible. The name of these rare species would be Chelimortle.

My animal self

If you look really close, you can see that humans and animals are not that different from each other. Some animals have qualities that us humans have. This is why we can compare ourselves with animals.
The first animal I compare myself with is the monkey. I think im like monkeys because they are intelligent, loving and compassionate. Also, because they are seen as a playful species that likes to do weird things. But mostly, I identify myself with monkeys because when they feel in danger or when they are disturbed, monkeys can get aggressive as a way to protect themselves and to claim respect, and that is something I do almost instinctively.
The second animal I compare myself with is the donkey. The word "donkey", or its traduction on spanish "burro", has always been used to refer to a person who doesn't think before he acts. I think of myself as an intelligent young woman; but even the wisest people can have dumb moments. In my case, my dumb moments happen pretty frequently and with the stupidest things.
For the third animal, I consulted my best friend and she told me that I can identify with a dog. That seemed odd, so I asked her why and she told me: "Dogs are man's best friend, faithful companions of laughter and sorrows, true friends, those who are with you through thick and thin, and, although not noticed, they are always with you accompanying you until the day of their death. That's why I identify you with a dog, because even in distance, you've been present whenever I needed you."

Nature's Cry

On Good Friday, I watched the sky leave it's brightness and turn gray. The rain started slowly, but then it got fierce. The wind moved the trees like they were feathers. Just then I realized that that was nature's way of grieving. That our ignorance is so great that even the nature recognizes it's Creator and we still doubt Him. Maybe us, humans, should leave our desires behind and connect with Mother Nature, as she will help us get more closer to God.

 

Will Smith

Willard Christopher Smith Jr., also know as Will Smith, was born on September 25, 1968 on Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is of both African American and Native American heritage. In high school,
he got the nickname "Prince" because of how he would charm his way out of trouble. At first he earned his fame on the music industry performing with Jeffrey A. Townes as rappers "DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince". Then, on 1989 he started a series called "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", that was based on Will's life on Beverly Hills. The show lasted 6 years, and after that Will switched from television to film. His first hit movies were Bad Boys, Independence Day and Men In Black. He did no only appear on action movies, but he also succeeded as a comedy actor. On 2005, he entered the Guinness Book of World Records for attending a record breaking three premieres in a 24-hour time span.
Will is not the only one in his family to reach success. His daughter Willow has a music career and his son Jayden has been involved in both music and acting.
I really look up to Will Smith because he stopped at nothing to fulfill his dream. He is a successful actor, producer and rapper. His humble and charismatic personality has inspired many people, including his kids. That is what has made him my favorite actor.

The perfect trip

I've always wanted to travel the world and see the different types of cultures of every city of the world. The places that fascinate me the most are Italy and England.
I don't know why but I've always been attracted to Italy. Maybe it's because I love italian food, or just because I like the italian stereotype. All I know is I'd like to go and enjoy the culture and history of italians.
The other place I'd like to visit is England. England is such a wonderful place filled with a lot of historical monuments such as the Buckingham Palace, The Big Ben Tower and the Stonehenge. I hope one day I can go there and see all the beautiful things it has to offer.

My future

Honestly, im still not sure how my future will be. I have two paths to choose from: veterinary or dermatology.
If i decide the path of veterinary, i would go to study at a US University, preferably PennState, and get a job as a zookeeper in either Animal Kingdom or Sea World. But to have that life would mean to stay away from my beautiful island Puerto Rico.
If i choose the path of dermarhology, everything would be different. I would study here at the PUCPR and then complete my degree at the Ponce School of Medicine. When i finish studying, i would open my own office and start working as a dermatologist.
Either way, when i finish studying, i plan on getting married and starting a family of my own. So in my future, i see myself with a degree and happily married with a family.

 

 

Cheerleading

My favorite sport and the sport that I practice is cheerleading. Cheerleading combines dance, gymnastics and athletics. It may look easy, but it's very hard to be a cheerleader. A cheerleader needs to have strength, swiftness, coordination, resistance and flexibility. The routines include coordinated dances, jumps, transitions and stunts. For some people, cheerleading is not a sport. They see it more as a type of dance. But cheerleading is not only a sport, but one the extremest sports there is.

A Little Bit Of Me

Hi, my name is Carolina Isabel Rivera Camacho. I'm 15 years old and I  have a twin sister named Alejandra. The love of my life is Lara Sofia, my 3 year old German Shepherd. I love to read sci-fi and fantasy books and I also enjoy watching these types of series. I can't go a day without listening to music and my favorite sport is cheerleading.
